About Grow Baby
A new baby on the way — how special and exciting it is. As one of the world's first producers of BPA-free baby bottles, Icon Health has been providing Australian and international maternity hospitals with baby bottles and accessories for over 40 years.
We understand that nothing but the best is acceptable for your child. Choosing baby products can feel daunting, so Icon Health released the Grow range using the same care, safety and standards as the products we supply to hospitals. Australian owned, made and trusted. History
Forty years ago Icon Health was approached by one of Australia's leading hospitals to develop a teat suited to neonatal and maternity feeding requirements across Australia and New Zealand.
Working with leading lactation consultant Robyn Noble DMLT, BAppSC (MedSc), IBCLC, our teams developed the Grow long-barrel teat — designed around how a breastfed baby naturally feeds. As hospitals needed sterile single-use bottles, focus turned to finding the safest, highest-quality materials available. That work produced some of the first BPA-free bottles and long-barrel silicone teats for neonatal and maternity wards.
Moving forward
Decades later, Icon Health still supplies a majority of Australian, New Zealand and international neonatal and maternity wards. The Grow long-barrel teat remains preferred in many of those settings.
What has changed is availability: hospital-grade products are now ready for parents at home. What we won't change is our long-barrel teat, and our continual search for the safest, highest-quality raw materials globally available.
